Mohammed briefed on 'dubaiway'

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been briefed about the innovative plan 'dubaiway' of Ports, Customs and Free Trade Zone Corporation in Jebel.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Trade Zone Corporation in Jebel, who briefed Sheikh Mohammed, said the implementation of smartphone initiative would enable public to communicate with the corporation and launch innovative ideas that would further contribute to creativity and development.

During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed at the pavilion of corporation at Mall Dubai hall about the implemented innovative plans demonstrated by Sara Falaknaz, vice president for innovation, DP World.

She said that 26 Emirati female employees work at Jebel Ali port's container cranes through remote control at Port Rashid. Falaknaz noted that they also operate container cranes through the remote control at about 66 ports managed by DP World across the globe.

One of the innovative plans Sheikh Mohammed inspected was 'dubaitrade' that could generate billions of dirhams for Dubai traders who deal with the corporation in exports and imports. They can use the website of the corporation to handle  the cargo online.
