Mohammed establishes Shariah College

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE has issued Law No 10 of 2011 establishing the Imam Malik College for Islamic Shariah and Law.

The new public institution will enjoy a full legal personality with the financial and administrative autonomy to carry out all its operations in the pursuit of its objectives.

The college headquarters will be located in Dubai, however the institute may establish offices both inside and outside the emirate.

Tasked with creating effective educational opportunities and academic degrees in the disciplines of law, Shariah law and Islamic finance, the new body will seek to contribute to the development process at the local, regional and international levels.

Further aims include serving the community through encouraging scientific research and development and facilitating academic cooperation with other educational institutions to foster the development of knowledge in the state.

Mohammed orders new appointment at DHA

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE,  in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, has signed an executive order appointing Abdul Rahman Mohammed Oghan Mohammed Al Oghani as the Director of External Public Relations and Media in the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

The new director will enjoy all incentives and fringe benefits as per the human resources law of the Emirate of Dubai.
