Mohammed meets Kuwait, Qatar emirs

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received last evening at his residence in Bayan Palace the Emir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The meeting, which was attended by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, discussed topics on the agenda of the 34th GCC summit, as well as means to foster the march of the GCC countries.

Sheikh Tamim congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on UAE winning the bid to host EXPO 2020.

Mohammed attends dinner banquet of Emir of Kuwait

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has attended a dinner banquet, hosted by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait.

The banquet, held at the Conference Hall at Bayan Palace, was held in honour of the heads of the GCC delegations, who are taking part in the 34th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, being held in Kuwait.

Mohammed bin Rashid meets Saudi Crown Prince in Kuwait

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today visited Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, who is leading the Kingdom's delegation to the 34th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit at Bayan Palace in Kuwait.

Sheikh Mohammed and Prince Salman exchanged views on a number of issues dealing with the agenda of the 34th Summit and ways to enhance the march of the Council.

The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohammed, which includes Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai and Aref Tunaiji, UAE Charge d'Affaires to the State of Kuwait.

The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al Faisal, Saudi Foreign Minister and the members of the Saudi delegation accompanying him.

34th GCC Summit kicks off in Kuwait

The 34th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit kicked off on Tuesday at Al Bayan Palace in Kuwait.

The event, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, is attended by Their Majesties and Highnesses leaders of the GCC States.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, leads the UAE delegation to the summit.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia and Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahad bin Mahmoud Al-Saeed, are attending the summit.

Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf states, is also present.

The UAE high level delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohammed includes, Lt. Mohammed bin Rashid arrives in Kuwait heading UAE delegation to 34th GCC Summit

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the delegation accompanying him arrived in Kuwait to participate in the 34th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit.

Sheikh Mohammed was received upon his arrival by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait at the Amiri Protocol Lounge at Kuwait International Airport, where Sheikh Sabah congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on his safe arrival and wished him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay among his family and in his country.

Sheikh Mohammed was also received by the Crown Prince of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Mohammed greeted senior Princes, Ministers and dignitaries and then inspected a guard of honour.

Mohammed bin Rashid meets Turkmenistan President

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today received President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of bilateral and regional issues of common interest. The discussions also dealt with ways to boost economic, investment and tourism cooperation between the two countries, in light of the interest of the leaders of both the United Arab Emirates and Turkmenistan in strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two sides for the benefit of their peoples.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the signing of a number of agreements and MoUs between the two countries, stressing that these agreements form an encouraging framework to build more communication and cooperation at various levels.

President Berdimuhamedov hailed the development witnessed by the UAE at all levels, especially infrastructure, human development, educational, technological and other fields.

The meeting was attended by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler's Court of Dubai, Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, in addition to a number of senior officials.

Also present were Hasan Abdullah Al Adhab Al Zarouni, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan and Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the UAE.

Mohammed honours young business leaders

Sheikh Mohammed in Dubai attended the ceremony honouring the winners of the 8th cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders, organised by The Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development.

The awards ceremony, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed also honoured the authorities that support entrepreneurship in the Arab world.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the Arab authorities' winner of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, and praised their good efforts to serve the interests of Arab youth in providing them with a promising future and a decent life .

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed honoured nine winning projects from within the UAE at the beginning of the ceremony and then, along with Abdul Baset Al Janahi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai SME, honoured  the four winning projects from the Arab world.

Also present were Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler's Court of Dubai, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim,  Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, in addition to a number of senior officials.
