Mohammed receives Al Sudais

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai received today at Zabeel Palace, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Sudais, the General President of the Affairs of the Holy Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Holy Mosque in Madinah, both in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
 
In attendance were Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain.
 
Sheikh Al Sudais congratulated Sheikh Mohammed  on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing him good health and longevity and further progress, prosperity and stability for the UAE.
 
Sheikh Mohammed and the Saudi prominent scholar exchanged talks on an array of latest Islamic developments and acknowledged the need for coordinating and making their good offices work in unison so that the Arab and Islamic nations are spared tragic things such as seditions, wars and bloodshed in which innocent lives are lost.
 
Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the vital role of Muslim scholars, particularly preachers and prayer leaders, in deepening the roots of Islamic teachings regarding tolerance, moderation and dialogue in every aspect that realises the aspirations of the Muslims, in general and the Arabs in particular, for human and economic development, self-reconciliation with ourselves first and then with others in addition to respect for non-Muslim faiths for the sake of promoting the culture of dialogue, justice and peace among Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
 
For his part, Sheikh Al Sudais valued the UAE's humanitarian and charitable initiatives in helping the needy people across the world, mostly in poor countries.
 
Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of  Dubai International Marine Club, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and a number of top officials were present on this occasion.
 
Sheikh Al Sudais led the Maghreb prayers after which he and the guests broke their fast at an iftar banquet hosted by Sheikh Mohammed.
