Knives out at RAK wedding brawl, groom hurt

A brawl at a wedding in Ras Al Khaimah left the bridegroom injured, after knives were used in the fight, according to the RAK Police.
Brigadier Abdullah Khamis Al Hadidi, Director of Police Operations Police, Ras Al Khaimah, said the altercation involved as many as seven people and involved men aging between 20 and 30 years, of different nationalities.

Differences in the way the wedding was to be held led to verbal altercations and then, a fight broke out with knives.

The police intervened and the injured were taken to hospital.

Brigadier Al Hadidi said the RAK Police are following up with legal proceedings and necessary investigations to bring the perpetrators to book.
