In a rare case, a Kuwaiti man is suing the Interior ministry for failing to execute a court order requiring another Kuwait to pay debt of around KD50,000 (Dh660,000).

Quoted by the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily ‘Al Watan’, the man said he had won a court case against a debtor who owes him that sum, adding that the judge ordered the seizure of the debtor’s property and preventing him from travel until he pays the debt.

He said that although he failed to pay, the man was travelling through the airport freely without being stopped by authorities.
“I noticed that he had travelled to other Gulf countries many times although there is a court order banning his travel and seizing his property,” the unnamed man said.

He said this shows the interior ministry had failed to execute the court order and that he had filed a new case for a KD5,000 (Dh66,000) damages from the ministry.
