Mohammed attends day three of Royal Ascot Festival

The UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today attended the third day of Royal Ascot Horse Racing Festival, held at Ascot, in Berkshire.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, whose horse Estimate won the Royal Ascot Gold Cup.

It was the first time a reigning monarch's horse had claimed victory in the race's 207-year history.

Sheikh Mohammed also hailed the strong performance of "Estimate" on clinching the title in the crucial moments, and wished more achievements for the Queen in the next grand races.

For her part, Queen Elizabeth praised Godolphin's Colour Vision, which won the title last year, following a good performance, wishing success and good luck for Godolphin horses. She appreciated the participation and results of the UAE horses in the festival.

They exchanged views on the festival and participation of the most famous horses around the world.

Present at the meeting were, H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.

Among others in attendance on the third day of festival were H.H Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a number of Sheikhs, officials and fans.
