Total sales of Jumeirah Park Legacy villas, the project launched four days earlier (September 30), have crossed Dh900 million on Wednesday, Nakheel chairman has revealed.

“We expect to sell out all the villas in coming days as there is huge demand for these units due to the location and competitive pricing,”

Ali Rashid Lootah told Emirates 24|7

“People came to enquire about our villas at Cityscape and then went to our sales office to book their units. We expect to see our sale cross Dh1 by Thursday.”

The master developer will issue a tender for construction by October-end and expects to construction to begin by December or early January 2013.

“We expect to deliver the units by end of 2014,” he disclosed.

Nakheel had launched the Legacy villas, which are part of the 350-hectare master community that comprises 2,000 villas, on Sunday.

The Legacy villas have a large open hall overlooking the back garden and closed kitchen with the ground level having a guest room while four and five bedrooms, each with its own terrace, are on the first floor. Each villa is designed with closed garage for two cars and a large backyard garden.

The master developer, earlier this year, launched two projects: the Palm Residence, and Palm Views East and West on the Palm Jumeirah.

Lootah ruled out plans to launch the Heritage and Regional themed villas, saying, “We don’t want to flood the market with too many units… we do out studies well and launch when we see there is market demand. People have trust in Nakheel and that is reflected our the success of our project.”
