Saudi sells falcon for Dh168,000

A Saudi man was on his way back home when he spotted a falcon flying low.

He thought it was his lucky day as such birds normally bring wealth.
After resolving to capture the bird alive, Awad Al Jahdali phoned a friend, who has better experience in hunting birds of prey.

“After chasing the bird, they managed to capture it alive. Awad then took it to a businessman known for his love of falcons and sold it to him for SR170,000 (Dh168,000),” Sabq daily said in a report from the western town of Laith.

It did not make clear whether he shared the prize with his more experienced friend.
