A two-year-old Saudi boy was killed when a medical bed collapsed on him while he was tampering with the bed’s remote control device.
The boy was with his parents who were visiting sick relatives at a government hospital in the eastern province of Ihsa, Okaz daily said.
“The boy went behind the back of his parents into a room and started playing with the remote control device…he was near the bed when it fell on him…hospital staff tried to save him but he died.”
Barber beaten after 'ruining' customer’s moustache
A Kuwaiti man went to a hair saloon and asked its Asian owner to cut his hair and style his moustache. Instead of getting paid, he was beaten up.
The barber told police the man went mad after he finished styling his moustache on the last day of Eid Al Fitr holiday.
“He said the Kuwaiti refused to pay him and started to scream at him, accusing him of ruining his moustache,” the Arabic language daily Alanba said.
“The barber said the customer then jumped at him and beat him up…police are searching for the assailant,” it added in a report from Kuwait City.
Drunk Russian falls to death at home
A Russian man in Kuwait died after falling on his head on the floor at his apartment in Kuwait and police blamed the incident to drunkenness.
Neighbours found the body and phoned the police, who investigated the incident at the Russian’s apartment in Kuwait City, Alwatan daily said.
Forensic experts ruled out criminal activity and said the man apparently fell on his head after he got giddy due to heavy consumption of alcohol.
“Police found many liquor bottles near the body…the coroner decided that the death was caused when the man’s head hit the floor,” the paper said.
