4 Saudis drown trying to save each other

Four Saudi men died inside a massive water tank as they tried to save each other while two others survived and were taken to hospital.

Police said a young man was asked by his father to get into the tank to fix a machine to siphon water out but he died after inhaling toxic substances.

A relative who was present rushed down to pluck him out but died, prompting two others to jump into the tank to save the two.

“Both also died. Police said four died while two others who went into the tank later managed to climb out and were taken to hospital,” Okaz Arabic language daily said in a report from the southern town of Bisha.
