5-day Eid break in Kuwait

In Oman, Wednesday, August 31, will be the first day of Shawal or first day of Eid Al Fitr, according to 'Oman News Agency'. 

The Omani Moon-Sighting Main Committee announced that Tuesday August 30 will be the final day of the Holy Month of Ramadan, reported 'Gulf News'. 

The committee said because of the conjunction of the absence of Shawal crescent on Ramadan 29th this year and the absence of the sun, it will not be possible to see the crescent this day in most of the Sultanate's region. 

At least five days holidays in Kuwait

Kuwaiti government will declare a 5-day holiday if this Ramadan is of 29 days and Eid Al-Fitr falls on Tuesday. The nation will get a six-day break if Eid falls on Wednesday, 'arabtimesonline' reported quoting 'Al Watan'.

Saudi banks off for nine days

Meanwhile, banks in Saudi Arabia will be closed for Eid Al-Fitr holidays from Thursday, August 25 and open on September 3, according to Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (Sama). 

An Arab News report said, the agency has urged banks to ensure some of their branches in the border and other highly populated areas are kept open to serve clients. 

According to Labor Ministry, all private institutions should give at least four days’ holiday for Eid.
