A costly “no” for husband

A Saudi husband was admitted to hospital suffering from scratches and bruises caused by his apparently vicious wife who attacked him because he said no to her, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported.

The unnamed man, in his 50s, was treated at a public hospital in the western port of Yanbu and doctors called the police after suspecting he had a fight.

“The man suffered from scratches and bruises in the face and redness in one eye…he later admitted to the police that the injuries were caused by his wife,” the Arabic language daily Al Madina said.

“He said his wife attacked him after a heated argument because he told her no when she asked him for something,” it added without elaborating.
