The civil unrest in Bahrain continues as authorities arrest another 12 people on Friday night.

"The recent security developments and the continuation of the acts of incitement and sabotage show the risks and dangers to people's lives and their social and economic status as well as the country's domestic and international reputation," Shaikh Rasheed Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa was quoted as saying by 'Gulf News'.

"This could lead to more dangers, particularly when we observe the emergence of indications for civil confrontations through the numerous complaints by citizens and more charges about the state's hesitations to tackle the situation," he added.

Bahrain has witnessed a new wave of violence after the authorities said they were adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards "illegal groups and calls targeting Bahrain's stability and security".
