Cafe worker stabs and kills gun-toting thief

An Indian restaurant worker killed an armed Saudi thief who had threatened to shoot him unless he gave him his money, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The worker told police he was asleep in his bedroom next to the restaurant outside the eastern port of Dammam when a man banged the door.

After opening the door, a Saudi man jumped in and pointed his gun at the Indian’s head and ordered him to hand over all his money or he would be shot, the paper said.

“The Indian told police that he ran away but the armed man chased him and hit him with his gun’s butt on the head. He said he then reached the kitchen, pulled a knife and stabbed his assailant,” it said, adding that police found a gun at the crime scene.
