A Saudi man waited impatiently outside the operation room at a hospital for the nurse to come out and convey to him the good news about the success of his child’s tonsils surgery.
When she finally came out, he jumped off the seat-- not at the good news but at what he saw in her hand-- his son’s teeth.
The nurse told the man that the doctor sends his apology for the extraction of the child’s teeth.
“When I faced the doctor, he started to shout….I brought my child’s for an operation to remove his tonsils. Instead the doctor extracted his teeth,” the unnamed Saudi told Sabq newspaper.
It said the man had filed a complaint to health authorities in the southern province of Bisha about the doctor’s mistake. The paper did not make clear whether the child’s tonsils were removed or not.
