A van laden with donkeys was caught on camera roaming through the streets of a Saudi city on Saturday.
Instead of triggering funny comments, the van set off fears that the donkeys could be destined for restaurants.
The Arabic language daily 'Sabq' said the picture of the van was captured in the northwestern Saudi town of Tabuk and that it tried to contact its owner, who said he had no idea about the shipment as he had sold the car a long time ago.
The paper, which published the picture, said it received comments from many readers expressing their fears.
“Many readers expressed their fears that the van could be distributing the donkey to restaurants in the city,” the paper said.
