Fake 'made in France' perfume factory raided

Saudi authorities raided a factory involved in the production of fake perfumes with famous brands, most of which are “made in France.”

Inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce stormed the illegal factory in the capital Riyadh and confiscated all its contents before shutting the place.

Newspapers in the Gulf Kingdom, the largest Arab economy, said all workers at the factory managed to flee just before the raid at the week end.

“After searching the factory, the inspectors found a large quantity of perfume bottles carrying famous brands…most of the bottles carried the name ‘made in France.”
