Four non-Muslims caught on pilgrim visa in Saudi

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested four Nigerian men for exceeding the limit of the visa they had obtained as pilgrims to Makkah although they are not Muslims, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Monday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice seized the four while they were washing cars in the western holy city at the time of evening prayers, Sabq Arabic language daily said.

“When they asked the four men why they are not praying, they said they are Christians…their passports showed they had obtained an Umra (mini pilgrimage) visa although they are not Muslims…the four were also overstaying in the country,” the paper said.
