Girl takes 20 Panadol pills in suicide bid

A 19-year-old Kuwaiti girl took 20 Panadol pills in a bid to end her life after a rift with her family in the oil-rich Gulf emirate but doctors saved her life.

Her mother phoned an ambulance after she went into her daughter’s bedroom and found her lying nearly unconscious on the floor.

“She was rushed to hospital in a serious condition but doctors managed to save her life,” the Arabic language daily Al Watan said
