Groom flees when bride arrives at airport

An Egyptian groom waited for several hours at a Saudi airport for his bride to arrive. When he finally saw her, he fled.

The man said he decided to marry that girl after he saw her pictures sent by his brother in Egypt when he asked him to search for a bride for him.

“When he saw at the airport in Saudi Arabia, instead of rushing to hug her, he fled. People chased the man and caught him as they thought he stole something from the bride, but she told them he is her husband,” an airport official said.

Newspapers in Saudi Arabia and Egypt said the woman had filed for a divorce but they did not mention at which Saudi airport the incident took place.
