Lightning kills 40 sheep in Saudi

Lightning killed more than 40 sheep pasturing in a valley in Saudi Arabia, but their owner was not hurt, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Police and civil defence units sent to the area in the southern town of Baha found that all the sheep were dead after they were struck by a bolt, 'Sabq' said.

“The owner was safe, but all the sheep were killed. Police warned against staying in open areas or using mobile phones in such bad weather conditions,” it said.
