Maid honoured for memorising Quran

A Saudi man gave a party to his Ethiopian housemaid after she memorised part of the Quran during lessons given by a local Islamic centre.

A YouTube film published by Sada newspaper showed the maid cried after her employer surprised her with the party and a gift at his home in the Western Red Sea port of Yanbu.

“Naeema came to me rejoicing and showed me a certificate from the Koran memorization centre…I decided to reward her,” the man said.
