Saudi authorities have arrested a serial killer who had raped and murdered three housemaids before mutilating their bodies to conceal his crime, newspapers in the Gulf kingdom reported on Tuesday.
Police in the Western Red Sea port of Yanbu said they had seized the unidentified killer by accident following a search of more than four years through his son, who was arrested in the town of Madinah for begging.
“Police discovered that the beggar was the son of that killer…after interrogation, he agreed to guide the police to his father’s hideout,” Madina daily said.
The killer confessed to the murder of three Asian housemaids and said he had already identified his fourth target when he was seized.
“He told the police that he was picking housemaids, especially those who are not known to others…he confessed that he raped them before killing them…after their death, he mutilated their bodies so they will not be identified.”
The killer said he buried his first victim in an uninhabited area, where the badly mutilated body was later found by police.
After murdering and raping his second victim, he shaved her head off, mutilated her body and buried it in a bag under sand at the beach. The body was discovered by children playing at the beach, the paper said.
“After picking his third victim, he took her to a remote area and stabbed her several times…he raped her as she was dying….he then burned her body and left it on the road,” it said.
“The killer told police that he had already identified his fourth target as she has similar specifications.”
The killer’s son told police that his father was not normal as he used to beat and torture him and his brothers to force them to beg.
“The son said his father also used to bring women to the house in front of his wife…he said all of them were Asian women.”
Police searching the murderer’s house found forged documents and several photographs of housemaids, including one of his victims.
