Man bitten by snake while hunting dogs that killed his 8-year-old son

A Saudi man hunting stray dogs to avenge the killing of his eight-year-old son was bitten by a snake as he chased some of them in a valley.

Badr bin Hadeeb was taken to hospital in the Central Al Qasseem province after he was bitten by a poisonous snake as he prepared to shoot the dogs.

‘Sada’ newspaper said a man driving in the area took Hadeeb to hospital, where he was treated for a snake bite.

It quoted Hadeeb as saying he decided to hunt stray dogs in the area on the grounds authorities failed to take action after his son was killed by several dogs in the area.

“I have also decided to take legal action against the municipality for not taking measures to rid the area of stray dogs, which exceed 70,” he said.
