Man divorces wife for going to football match

A Saudi man instantly divorced his wife after he saw her on television attending a football match in London, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The man was watching the televised match at his home in the Gulf Kingdom when he saw his wife, who is on a university scholarship to Britain, 'Sada' said.

“He called his wife and she told him that she was watching the match with her friends. He immediately divorced her over the phone,” it said.
