Man saved from suicide attempt

Saudi security units succeeded in saving a Yemen teen age boy from committing a suicide by jumping from a high traffic bridge when one of them sneaked behind him and pushed him down to a safe airbag.

A 3-minute U-Tube film showed large police and civil defence unit gathered at the bridge area in Riyadh, where the man was seen standing on a steel rail and threatening to jump down. The civil defence then spread a massive airbag on the ground and asked the man to jump on it but he apparently refused.

One civil defence man was seen climbing on top of the bridge before using his leg to push the man down. Al Saudeh newspaper said he man landed safely on the airbag and was taken away by the police but it did not make clear why he tried to kill himself.
