Man to get 60 lashes for abusing ex-wife

A Saudi court ordered a man to be lashed 60 times with the whip in front of his former wife after he was convicted of abusing her on the mobile.

The man had denied he made any offending remarks to his ex-wife but the judge convicted him after she showed him many abusive SMS texts sent by her ex-husband to her mobile phone

.Kabar newspaper said the judge in the western town of Madina convicted the man of defaming his ex-wife and sentenced him to 60 lashes in front of her or any one deputized by her.
