Man tries to rape daughter then cut her hand off

Saudi police arrested a Yemeni man who tried to cut off his teen age daughter’s hand after she resisted his attempts to sleep with her.

The girl, who was admitted to hospital, told police in the western Saudi town of Taif that her father had tried to rape her many times and continuously mistreated her and the other members of her family.

Doctors said the girl needs at least six weeks to recover after suffering from serious wounds.

“Police are questioning the father on rape and mistreatment charges filed by the girl and her sisters and brothers,” Kabar newspaper said.
