Man tries to snatch woman in Kuwait street

Kuwait police seized a local man in an exciting car chase through the capital streets after he tried to snatch a Syrian woman in a public place, press reports in the Gulf country said on Monday.

The 32-year-old man, who was drunk, intercepted two Syrian women as they walked on the road in Kuwait City, got out of his car and grabbed one of them. But he gave up and fled after their screams attracted passers-by.

“Police later traced the driver and chased him through the city…after an exciting chase of nearly half an hour, they got him,” the paper said.

“They found that he is an unemployed man and has a police record…he was also under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest.”
