Mers death toll hits 102 in Saudi Arabia

The number of deaths from Coronavirus in Saudi Arabia has risen to 102 after the Saudi Health Ministry announced eight new deaths in Saudi on Sunday.

A total of 39 deaths have been reported this month, sparking growing public concern about the virus that first emerged in April 2012.

Among the latest deaths was a nine-month-old infant, the ministry said.

Earlier, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health (MoH) had said in a statement that the number of people infected had risen to 323 since the discovery of the disease in September 2012.
