Moroccan officials have made a decision to ban Moroccan women from travelling to Saudi Arabia to work as housemaids.

This decision will come in effect on December 7, 2015.

Moroccan authorities did not mention the reasons for taking this decision but said it is to avoid problems.

This new went viral on social media, where many welcomed it and said it will reduce problems it used to cause in Saudi society.

Tahani, a Saudi woman, said that the best thing is that they banned Moroccan women from working as housemaids in Saudi Arabia as many Saudi men would fall in love with them and either start having an affair with them or divorce their wives to marry them.

Mohammed, a Saudi man, said that most of these women either ended up in problems or caused problems to Saudi families.

“Majority of them come here with one intention in mind, and that is to take over their sponsors’ wives and marry their sponsors. I know of many families which suffered because of them and many men who divorced their wives to marry their Moroccan housemaids. The best thing is that they banned them from coming to work as housemaids in Saudi Arabia.”
