Preacher dies after calling for prayers

A Saudi preacher died just after making Azzan (call for prayers) in the Gulf Kingdom on Friday before the eyes of thousands of shocked Moslems.

Sheikh Ali Al Hakmi made the Azzan for Friday’s open-air prayers then joined the other worshippers in their prayers at a mosque in the northwestern town of Tabuk.

“Just as he finished calling for prayers and started to pray with the other worshippers, he dropped dead before the eyes of thousands of shocked Moslems,” the Saudi Arabic language daily Tabuk News said.
