Saudi divorces wife over lesbian friend

A Saudi man divorced his wife just three months after marriage because she preferred her lesbian girl friend over him, a Saudi daily reported Saturday.

The unidentified husband had warned his wife many times to end a relationship with her friend, who used to visit her at home in Riyadh, Sharq said.

It said the man found out that his wife’s friend was a lesbian after he discovered some “love” letters addressed from that woman to his wife.

“The husband discovered that the woman was lesbian and told his wife to stop her from coming to his house and not to see her again,” the paper said.

“But the girl friend came again last Monday and spent a long time with his wife…he was so furious that he instantly divorced her.”
