Saudi stunt driver flung 50 metres out of car

A Saudi driver performing dangerous demonstrations with his car in front of hundreds of fans was flung nearly 50 metres out of his vehicle after it struck a metal bar in the field, a newspaper reported on Sunday. 

Kabar Arabic language daily carried a 36-second YouTube film on Sunday showing the man flying high above the dusty field in the northwestern town of Jouf before hitting the sandy ground to the shock of the audience. 

“It was a horrible scene. People who were present at the demonstration said the driver was hurled out after his car hit a metal bar in the ground,” it said. 

The paper did not mention what happened to the driver but said more than 128,000 viewers had seen the film, which was not officially verified.
