A Saudi farmer who had promised his townsfolk to rid them of a wolf that had killed scores of their sheep finally hunted the predator and hanged it by a tree to prove he had honoured his word.
The animal, one of the biggest wolves seen by residents in the mountainous Shafa area near the western town of Taif, had attacked sheep and killed an average three heads every day for more than a month.
“Finally, Ibrahim al Omari succeeded in trapping the wolf and killing it last Monday…he hanged it by the tree to put an end to the worries of the local farmers,” 'Ajel' Arabic language daily said.
