A Kuwait woman suffered from injuries after jumping down from a second level apartment when two men entered the room during a birthday party, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf emirate reported on Saturday.
The unnamed woman said the two men from an unspecified Gulf country tried to rape her but they denied the charge, Alanba Arabic language daily said.
The 28-year-old woman told police she was resting in a separate room during a birthday party at a friend’s flat when the two men came in.
“She said they came in to rape her so she jumped down….but the two men told police that they entered the room by mistake and that they had no intention of raping the woman,” the paper said, adding that the two remained in police custody for further investigation.
