Old Abu Hussein of Kuwait cannot wait for Eid or any other occasion to visit his dead wife’s grave in the local cemetery—he’s there every day since she died six years ago.

When he was asked by the presenter of Kuwait’s television about his wish, he said he just wants to see her face again only once before he burst into crying.

A 112-second U-Tube film showed the bearded man in traditional Kuwaiti dishdasha and head gear cleaning the grave before he was asked by the TV presenter.

“My wife passed away six years ago but I come here every day to visit her…I just cannot forget her….she is always in my mind and I keep dreaming of her…how can I forget the woman who shared my life and who I loved so much,” Abu Hussein said.

“We used to wake up together, plan for the day together, eat together and go out together…she was and is still my life…I just pray to God that I will see her face again only once,” he told the presenter, before he burst into crying and was hugged by the interviewer who apparently was touched.

The Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Alanba, which carried the film wrote:”Abu Hussein proved to be a genuine man who has set a wonderful example in devotion and loyalty in an age when most others have abandoned the real values inherited from our fathers.”
