Woman gives birth to quadruplets, dies

An Egyptian man in Saudi Arabia got a dual shock when he was told his wife gave birth to quadruplets, but that she died just after the delivery.

“He had a pleasant and a sad shock. He was happy with the four babies but was shattered by the news of his wife’s death,” Sabq daily said.

It said the woman gave birth to the three girls and one boy at hospital in the Southern Asir province but it did not mention what caused her death.

It quoted doctors as saying two babies were in good health and two others were in an unstable condition.
