Woman gives birth to quadruplets in Saudi

A Saudi woman gave birth to quadruplets in a premature caesarian operation prompted by severe pain and high blood pressure, a local daily said on Tuesday.

The woman was admitted to King Khaled general hospital in the northern town of Hafr Al Batin this week with severe abdominal pain and high blood pressure because of pregnancy, Ajel daily said.

“We managed to bring down her blood pressure and performed a caesarian section…she gave birth to three boys and one girl and all of them are in a good health. The mother is in a stable condition,” said Dr Hassan Saeed, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist at the hospital.
