A 20-year-old Moroccan woman suffered from back fractures and bruises all over her body after she jumped down from her second floor apartment in Saudi Arabia to escape torture by her local husband, a newspaper said on Monday.
Aziza said she had been systematically beaten up by her husband before she tried to escape after he locked her up at their apartment in the southern Jazan province.
Moroccan embassy officials in Saudi Arabia visited the woman in hospital and said they would appoint a lawyer to prosecute the Saudi husband, according to Sabq daily.
