Worm in biryani caught on camera at restaurant

A hungry Saudi man went into a famous restaurant in the Gulf kingdom and ordered his favorite dish. He was half way through the meal when he abruptly stopped and stared in disbelief at the worm that was adorning his rice dish.

When he recovered, he pulled out his mobile phone and filmed the dish before phoning health authorities, who did not answer his calls.

A YouTube film published in the Saudi daily Ajel showed the man then took the plate and headed to the counter, where he showed them the worm.

“This is one of the most famous restaurant chains in the country and does not care about cleanliness….what about those little restaurants then,” the paper quoted the customer as saying. It did not make clear if the worm was dead or alive.
