Speed, tyre blast kill Emirati in RAK

A 28-year-old Emirati man was killed when his car crashed into a power pole after a tyre blast and police said the victim was driving at high speed.

The victim, identified as ARH, was driving on Aliwaa street in the northern emirate when his vehicle suddenly went out of the road and rammed into the power pole.

“The accident was caused by a tyre blast…the man died on the spot due to severe injuries as he was driving at high speed,” said Lt Colonel Ahmed Al Naqbi, information chief at RAK traffic police.
