Colombo: Four Australian nationals wanted in connection with the swindling of money to the tune of US$ 3.2 million from a Sri Lankan investor in order to set up a business venture, have been issued warrants by Colombo High Court Judge through Interpol for their arrest, ‘Ada Derana’ reported.

The local investor has been promised the position of the Managing Director after setting up a cable television company.

However, the suspects were alleged to have returned to Australia with the money after fleeing the country.

Notice was issued for the suspects through the Australian High Commission several times, but to no avail and therefore, the Colombo High Court issued the warrants for their arrest.

The case has been fixed for hearing again on October 15.
