Facebook wedding ends in suicide

Colombo: A young woman ended her life by consuming pesticide at her husband’s house in Alawwa, Sri Lanka.

The couple, both 21-years-old, first met on Facebook and married after a period of courtship, reported ‘Mawbima’.

The man told investigating officials that there were no marital issues between them and that he was shocked that she ended her life.

Police is investigating the case to find the reason for the suicide.
