Colombo: A man killed his son with a crowbar and dumped his body in the toilet pit after the two had an argument over money.
The 26-year-old often harassed his father asking him for money.
On that fateful day, when the 56-year man was having tea, the deceased allegedly again approached him and demanded money. This resulted in a heated argument, which led to the son throwing tea on his father’s face.
That was it! The dad picked up a crowbar and hit his son. However, on realising that his son had dead after taking the blow, he dumped his body in a toilet pit and covered it with dirt.
When the family inquired about the 26-year old, he simply said that his son had left for Colombo with his friends.
However, the victim’s 22-year-old brother grew suspicious and filed a police complaint.
The suspect confessed to the crime and the body was found 25 days after the murder.
