SRI LANKA: Kalutara North police in the Western province arrested a woman suspect, who had stolen money and jewellery from men, near Temple Road, Kalutara, ‘Mirror’ reported on Monday.
The woman identified as, Withanage Dona Suhadini Kumari Jayasundara, having placed advertisements in marriage columns in newspapers, had married several men for a short period and fled with their money and other valuables.
Police investigations had commenced after receiving complaints from 2 men accusing the suspect woman of living with them for a couple of months before disappearing with the money and other valuables from their homes.
The suspect had been ordered to be remanded till June 6 by Panadura Magistrate.
