Sleep with me, own my house: owner tells tenant

Colombo: A house owner allegedly demanded sexual bribe from a woman living on rent in his premises.

According to a report in 'Mirror',the businessman was taken into custody on charges of assault and attempted sexual abuse and has been released on Rs20,000 bail by the Kalutara Chief Magistrate Aruna Aluthge.

He promised the woman that she could own the house if she pleased him.

However, when the girl did not succum to his persuasion, he assaulted her and attempted to molest her in the presence of the father and neighbours.

The victim is a mother of one child.
