Leonie Muller, a German student who studies in Tubingen,  had decided to live on a train.

Instead of renting an apartment, Muller now spends her money on a monthly ticket that allows her to freely travel on any train in the country.

“It all started with a dispute I had with my landlord. I instantly decided I didn't want to live there anymore – and then I realised: Actually, I didn't want to live anywhere anymore,” she said in a letter to the 'Washington Post'.

'Der Spiegel' says that her boyfriend gave her the idea when he found she was spending too much time commuting between Cologne, where he lived, to her flat in Stuttgart and then to her college in Tubingen.

Leonie has lived on trains for almost six months, washing her hair in train bathrooms.

She carried a small backpack containing her clothes, tablet computer, college documents and a bag for toiletries.
