Temperatures across the country dropped by a record 6 degrees Celsius, while it is expected to decline further in the next few days.

According to the experts at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) the maximum temperature recorded at various cities in UAE was 6 degrees lower than the average temperature recorded in the first three weeks of August, Gulf Today reported.

The Met report said that the maximum temperatures dropped to reach 41°C in Abu Dhabi, 39.9°C in Dubai, 40°C in Al Ain and 33°C in Fujairah.

The decline in temperatures, therefore, since the beginning of August, ranged between 6°C-8°C, the statement added.

And the good news is that the trend is likely to continue at least for the next few days, as Wednesday and Thursday are expected to see further drop in temperatures.

The days are expected to be a bit windy and dusty, with sporadic cloud covers mostly in the eastern region, while the nights would be humid, with the moisture in the coastal areas going up to 95 per cent.
